General Information
Check-In
Check in time is 2:00 p.m. - 10 p.m for RV sites, Cottages 4 p.m - 10 p.m. You may check into your site prior to this time, space permitting. Discount coupons can only be accepted when presented at the time of check-in. Rates and fees are subject to change without notice. Reservations may be made up to two (2) years in advance, except the July 4 period which may be booked one (1) year in advance.
Check - Out
Check-out time is 12:00 P.m. A late check-out may be available until 4:00 p.p. for RV sites and 2:00 p.m. for cottages, for free, or 10:00 p.m. in our day-use parking lot for free (space permitting). Late check-out may be arranged through the front office on the day of your check-out before 11:00 a.m. Any RV not taken out of the site by 4:00p.m. is subject to be chrged for an additional night.
Payment
All nights' site and tax charges for your stay are due and payable at the time of reservation. Call for monthly policy. If you arrive after office hours, please check in at the Main Office before 11:00 a.m. the following morning. Reservations are blocked according to date booked. Specific site requests cannot be guaranteed, but we will do our best to accommodate you. Daily and weekly rates are based on up to four persons per site (children included). Any coupons, discounts or other promotional offers must be stated at the time of check-in. MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club and Discover Cards are accepted.
Cancellation
WINTER NON-HOLIDAYS: $25 processing fee with 24 hours' notice. Less than 48 hours' notice will be charged one full night's fee. SUMMER NON-HOLIDAYS: $25 processing fee with 48 hours' notice. Less than 48 hours' notice will be charged a $25 processing fee plus one full night's fee. SUMMER WEEKENDS: Less than 48 hours' notice - no refund. All guarantee fees are non-refundable at any time. HOLIDAYS: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's: $25 processing fee if notice of 72 hours or more. Less than 72 hours' notice - no refund. The following holidays require a three (3) night minimum stay: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. July 4th requires a seven (7) night minimum stay from July 1st. through July 7th. Summer weekends require a two (2) night minimum stay (Friday & Saturday). There are no refunds on early departures.
Guests
Please advise your guests to register with the Gate Attendant upon their arrival. Guest parking fee posted at main gate entrance.
Messages
As a courtesy, we take messages for our guests. If you are expecting a message, please check with the Front Desk Staff in the Main Office, or the Gate Attendant after hours. Sorry, messages cannot be delivered except in emergencies.
Provisions For Disabled
Newport Dunes' state-of-the-art facilities were specifically designed with consideration for disabled individuals, with all buildings, restrooms, the boardwalk, and the Back Bay Bistro accessible by wheelchair.

Newport Dunes enjoys clear television reception through our satellite dish, including all Los Angeles networks. Back Bay Bistro
The new Back Bay Bistro features a retractable roof for hosting events year round, and will feature the same wonderful view of the back bay.
Market Place
Located next to the Main Office in the Village Center, you will find a wide range of grocery items, household goods, RV supplies, sundries, clothing and gift items. The store is open seven days a week. Hours of operation vary with the changing of the seasons.
Pool & Spa
For the exclusive enjoyment of Newport Dunes RV guests, a swimming pool and whirlpool spa are located in the Village Center. RV guests receive a code to the gate entrance upon check-in. Hours are 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. (closed 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. for cleaning). Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult. No children under 14 are allowed in the spa. Adults-only swim time (18 years and older) is 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Alcohol is not permitted in the spa at any time. Glass containers and pets are not allowed in the pool area.
Watersports & Beach Rentals
Sailboats, kayaks, pedal boats, windsurfers and electric boats are available for rent at Resort Watersports at the pier. Sailing and windsurfing lessons are also available. Bicycles, skates, rollerblades, boogie boards, floatation rafts, beach chairs and umbrellas are available at the rental booth adjacent to the Market Place. For more rental information, please call 800-765-7661 or (949) 729-1150. Guided kayak tours available Sundays year-round at 10 a.m. through the the Newport Bay Naturalists & Friends. Reservations required and may be made by calling (949) 640-6746.
Playground
Children are invited to use the "Pirate Playground" equipment on the beach just north of the Main Office. A favorite attraction, remaining from the early days of Newport Dunes, is the famous floating whale in the bay, Moe B. Dunes, located just offshore of the playground.
Promenade
There is a one mile promenade that circles Newport Dunes Resort's lagoon. Rollerblades and bikes are allowed but please remember that there is a three (3) mph speed limit. Skateboards are not permitted on the promenade.
Fitness Center
Located on the second floor of the Marina Clubhouse, adults 18 years and older may enjoy working out on our state-of-the-art fitness equipment which includes equipment such as Lifecycle, rowing machine, universal weights, elliptical trainer, and StairClimber. Please check-in at the Marina Front Desk. Open Summer 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Winter 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Laundry Facilities
The laundry is located immediately south of the swimming pool area in the Village center.
Restrooms:
Four large tiled restrooms with hot showers are located along Bluff Drive in the RV resort. You will receive the code to the combination lock upon check in. Two additional restrooms with outdoor cold water showers are located along the beach promenade.
Pay phones are located at each restroom, Main office, and behind the Market Place. Direct phone service is available to monthly guests in designated RV sites. Please see the Main office for more information.
Propane
Convenient service to your site. See the Main Office for current rates, dates, and times of delivery.
Propane is also available at the El Toro RV 949-559-1996.
Resort Marina
If you have a boat, bring it along! Newport Dunes Resort Marina, located at the northwest corner of the property, includes 440 single-loaded boat slips, state-of-the-art amenities, 24-hour security, clubhouse and pool, and daily, weekly, or monthly slip rates. Dry storage for boats and RVs is also available. Call the Marina Office to reserve your space at (949) 729-1100.
Boat Launch & Wash Rack
We have a seven (7) lane boat launch ramp located at the north end of our property, next to the Back Bay Café. A seven (7) lane coin operated wash rack is adjacent to the launch area for RV and boat cleaning (please bring your own hose). A change machine is available for your convenience. RV Wash/Wax service available from American RV Care. Call (714) 926-7395 for appt.
Banquet Facilities
Bayview and poolside banquet rooms accommodating up to 150 people, and outdoor beachfront pavilions, cabanas and gazebo accommodating up to 3,000 people are available for group functions. Full-service catering is available through our Catering/Banquet Sales Office. Please call the Sales Office at (949) 729-3800 for catering and function space reservations.
RV Clubs & Rallies
Groups, clubs and rallies are welcome! Newport Dunes Resort can accommodate groups of up to 300 rigs. Groups of ten or more rigs receive substantial discounts and one four-hour period of complimentary meeting space. Our Sales Office can also coordinate special group activities.
Tents
All tents must be freestanding. Tents with stakes are prohibited. Tarps may not be used as tents. Tents will only be allowed in small sites. There is a two (2) tent maximum per site and one (1) tent maximum per site when accompanied by an RV. Maximum length of stay for tent campers is 14 days in any three (3) month period.PetsPets are welcome, but must be kept on a leash at all times.
Pets
are not allowed on the beach or permitted to be tied to trees. A dog run is located on property. A pet fee of $2 + Tax per day or $5 + Tax per week will be charged for each pet. There is a two-pet maximum per site. Pets must be currently vaccinated and licensed. Pit Bull and Rottweiler breeds are not permitted.
Monthly Rates
Monthly rates are based on a 30-day stay and are good for two people. Monthly guests must be in an RV. Tents do not qualify for a monthly rate. Monthly rates, like all rates, are payable in advance. Monthly rates are subject to Transient Occupancy Tax (T.O.T.) for the first 30 days of each stay. Any stay of less than 30 days will be pro-rated at weekly and daily rates. Guests may reside in the RV park for a maximum time of 168 days . After that time, the RV guest must vacate the site and leave Newport Dunes Resort for a minimum of seven days before returning.
Mail
We will receive mail at the Main Office for guests registered at Newport Dunes Resort. However, at no time can Newport Dunes address serve as a guest's permanent address. Upon requests, we will hold mail for 30 days or forward mail for one month after check-out.
